A British man, aged 53, is believed to be in a life-threatening condition following a tour bus crash in Turkey, which injured 15 people.

A further 10 Brits are among those hurt in the accident in the Manavgat district of Antalya.

Three members of staff working for a tour company were also injured.

A witness told local news station IHA that a open-sided minibus crashed into the back of another tour bus during a ‘safari’ tour.

One of the minibuses then swerved off the road and tipped over, throwing passengers from the vehicle.

Several victims were treated at the scene, before being taken to nearby hospitals.

A video posted on IHA shows injured people lying on the floor at the scene being given first aid.

A pink overturned mini-bus – with the words ‘Panter Safari’ on the back – was left at the side of the road.

Several companies offer trips in the region to tourists wanting to see the surrounding countryside and other cultural sights.

A Foreign Office spokesperson said: “We are providing consular support to a number of British nationals following an incident in Turkey, and are in contact with the local authorities.”
