Guests sailing with A-ROSA on the Danube can now enjoy unique onboard concerts by talented students from the Vienna University of Music and Performing Arts (mdw), as part of the river cruise line’s new Young Artists Programme.

Guests will be able to enjoy evening performances onboard to showcase the young artists while the ships are docked in the city.

The artists cover a diverse spectrum of instruments and range from solo performers to string quartets, many of whom have already been honoured with international awards.

They include violinist Zuzanna Budzyńska and pianist Szymon Ogryzek (pictured).

A-ROSA UK & Ireland Managing Director Lucia Rowe said: “Welcoming all generations onto our ships is so important to us and it is wonderful that we are able to offer these hugely talented young artists our stage and our guests as an audience.

“The city of Vienna plays such an important role in music history, and these performances by mdw students offer the unique opportunity to experience local musical traditions and the cultural diversity of numerous other countries from both the great and lesser-known composers up close.”
