ABTA LifeLine is urging families facing financial challenges during the summer months to get in touch.
The charity says the summer holidays and the financial burden of preparing for the return to school in September can place significant strain on families.
Help from ABTA LifeLine will depend on individual circumstances but will include providing vouchers for food, energy, school uniforms and school shoes, as well as stationary, tech and wellbeing support.
LifeLine Director Trudie Clements said: “The summer is for most of us one of the best times of year, a chance to relax, enjoy the good weather and take a well-earned holiday. But for many families, it can be a source of stress, with increased financial outgoing and additional costs with the return to school in September.
“ABTA LifeLine is there to do whatever we can to lessen these burdens on families helping them to enjoy this time of the year as they spend more time with their loved ones.”
ABTA LifeLine is ABTA’s charity for past and present employees of ABTA members. The charity provides support for the unexpected moments in life such as redundancy, relationship breakdown, accidents and bereavement among many other things.
