Sangita Myska is to moderate this year’s ABTA Travel Convention, replacing Chris Ship.

Sangita spent 17 years reporting and presenting on BBC national TV and radio and is now at radio station LBC, where she hosts a weekend phone-in show.

ITV News Royal Editor Chris Ship, who has moderated the conference regularly over the past few years, has had to pull out of hosting this year’s event because of work commitments.

The 2023 Travel Convention will take place this year at the all-inclusive Lujo hotel in Bodrum, Turkey, from 30 October to 1 November.

Speakers include easyJet holidays CEO Garry Wilson, who will discuss issues affecting the industry as well as share easyJet holidays’ plans for 2024 and beyond.

Also speaking will be WIRED Senior Innovation Editor Jeremy White, who will cover how new tech and AI can be successfully harnessed by the travel industry, and economic experts from PwC who will be revealing the latest insights into holidaymakers’ spending intentions for next year.
