Advantage appoints new BDM for its Managed Services arm

Advantage Travel Partnership has appointed John Simmons in the newly created role of Business Development Manager, Business Travel for Advantage Managed Services.

Reporting to Andy Boorman, Head of Business Development, Global Business Travel, John will be responsible for day-to-day business development opportunities as well as bringing in new business for members operating under its AMS model.

He has previously spent more than15 years in the corporate travel sector, initially working in operational roles for UK corporate travel management companies such as Hogg Robinson, Fleet Street Travel, Portman Travel, Statesman Travel and Travel & Transport.

Most recently, he was working for American Express as a Client Account Manager, handling a portfolio of SME clients on a European and global basis.
