The Advantage Travel Partnership has appointed Adam Weatherby to the newly-created role of Partnerships Manager.

Adam will report to Senior Commercial Manager Kerri Thorpe and operate as part of the commercial team.

He will be responsible for engaging and managing relationships with a portfolio of partners, primarily tourist boards and accommodation providers, developing existing relationships and securing new partnerships for Advantage members.

Most recently, Adam worked for the bed bank, Ratehawk, and prior to that Group Promotions, where he looked after sales and marketing for hotels in St Lucia.

His previous experience also includes working at Aviareps and South African Tourism.

Kerri said: “We are seeing a big increase in the types of businesses and organisations keen to partner with us, as they see now more than ever the value of working with our independent agent members and reaching their customers.

“Adam will not only help us explore new partnerships with destination and accommodation groups, but also those operating outside of our usual sectors.”
