The Irish Air Line Pilots’ Association (IALPA) has suspended a work-to-rule by Aer Lingus pilots after the airline issued a new pay deal.

IALPA is recommending pilots accept the offered 17.75% pay rise over a four-year period, as proposed by the Labour Court on Wednesday.

However, the offer came after Aer Lingus had already announced 25 more flight cancellations for next Monday and Tuesday due to the pilots’ industrial action, which began on 26 June.

IALPA said it will now hold ‘a series of engagements with members’ before a ballot on the terms of the Labour Court recommendation ‘in the coming weeks’.
