Aer Lingus will re-launch flights to Dublin from Liverpool John Lennon Airport on 27 April.

They will be operated by Emerald Airlines, the exclusive operator of Aer Lingus Regional services.

It will offer 11 departures a week, including a double daily service on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays using a 72 seat ATR72-600 aircraft.

Aer Lingus last offered flights from Liverpool in 2016.

Passengers on the new Dublin service will be able to connect to Aer Lingus flights to several cities in North America including New York, Washington, Chicago, Boston and Philadelphia, with an average two-hour layover.

Dublin Airport is one of only a few airports outside North America that offers a US Preclearance facility that allows US-bound passengers to clear US immigration and customs inspections before departure, avoiding potential queues on arrival in the states.
