Aer Lingus has confirmed it will be cutting its Dublin-Gatwick route from 31 March after a review of ‘route performance’.

The airline currently operates up to four flights a day between the two airports and said customers booked on flights after 31 March will be offered alternatives or a refund.

A statement from Aer Lingus said: “Following a review of route performance, Aer Lingus has made the decision to cease its operations on the Dublin-London Gatwick route from 31 March 2024. Customers booked on this route up to and including the 31st March will not be impacted by the change.

“All customers with bookings beyond 31 March 2024 are being contacted by Aer Lingus to offer the option of alternative flight arrangements, including customers with connecting flights, or a refund if that is their preferred option.”
