A travel agent who started her career with InteleTravel has moved her agency to Advantage as she looks to expand.
Gilli Knight launched her Dorset-based business, Travel Den, in 2019, following an earlier career in financial services management.
She later moved to Club Voyages, a member of the Hays Travel Independence Group, before switching to Advantage as a member of its managed services model.
She already has three homeworkers enrolled with her agency, which specialises in tailormade and luxury long-haul travel, and plans to expand. “I will look at increasing that number for sure as things settle in,” she said.
Gilli cited the support and marketing opportunities offered by Advantage, along with the fact that the organisation does not restrict which suppliers she can work with, the systems that are in place to create quotes and after sale documentation as the reasons for the switch.
“With the support of Advantage, my goal is to grow my business and offer homeworking travel advisors a great place to come and work with me,” she said.
“No silly joining or upfront fees, no astronomical monthly costs to pay and a high level of commissions split to reward their hard work, basically creating a space that I would have wanted to have worked in.”
