Agents will play a ‘massive part’ in the growth of Celestyal, which has announced it will offer year-round sailings, including new Persian Gulf itineraries.

From November 2024, Celestyal will be offering seven-night ‘Desert Days’ cruises onboard Celestyal Journey from Doha, with calls in Bahrain, Dubai, Khasab (Oman), Sir Bani Yas Island and Abu Dhabi.

Sister ship Celestyal Discovery – which joins the fleet this year – will sail a ‘Three Continents’ cruise from November to March 2025, covering Greece, Turkey, Cyprus, Israel, and Egypt.

As part of Celestyal’s growth in 2024, the cruise line has confirmed it will be heavily investing in UK agents.

VP Business Development UK, Europe & Australia Janet Parton confirmed that the line not only plans to double its trade sale team, but is aiming to get around 100 agents onboard its ships this year.

She explained: “We want to get as many travel agents on the ships this year, including on the new Persian Gulf itineraries. We don’t take travel agent business for granted – we are super proud of the trade relationships we have built up. We don’t have a ‘one size fits all’ model so agents really can ask what they need from us.”

Global Chief Commercial Officer Lee Haslett added: “It’s a very exciting time and 2024 really is going to be a big year for us.

“We are incredibly committed to growing the UK market. Travel agents are going to play a massive part in the key to our success.”

Just this week Celestyal appointed Seb Pelisse in the role of Trade Marketing Executive UK and Australia. As well as recruiting for its trade team, Celestyal has announced plans to invest €2.5m into its brand marketing and double its brand, marketing, and communications team with a further six appointments.
