Agents told to expect more LA enquiries as result of UK ad campaign

Los Angeles Tourism bosses say they expect the UK trade to see more interest among clients wanting to visit the destination as a result of its current advertising campaign.

The tourist board’s autumn campaign started on 9 September and will run through to the end of October, with adverts on search and social media as well as in high-profile places in London.

Adverts have appeared on the London transport network, including around Waterloo and Euston.

LA Tourism President and CEO Adam Burke and Regional Vice President Europe Francine Sheridan visited Oxford Street to see the the tourist board’s largest ad placement, on LED screens at The Cube, seen by about half a million people each day.

Adam said: “It’s fantastic to see the latest iteration of our Now Playing campaign burst to life across the UK, one of the most important markets for Los Angeles Tourism.

“Los Angeles is rolling out the red carpet and bringing the LA vibe directly to Europe’s busiest shopping street to create urgency and encourage travellers to visit our city on their next trip.”

Francine said: “We anticipate the UK travel trade will see an increase in client interest in LA over the autumn period as consumers are inspired by our nationwide advertising campaign.”
