APT has launched a series of small group tours, offering guests a deeper dive into a destination’s culture, food and local experiences.

The tours have been designed by a specialist division led by Laura Hughes, who joined APT as its first dedicated Touring Product Manager last December.

Called Small Group Journeys, the new tours will be limited to a maximum of 16 guests.

Starting in India, APT is offering three itineraries between October 2024 and December 2025, including experiences such as watching the sunrise over the Taj Mahal, a cooking lesson and chef-led tour of food markets, and tiger-spotting in Ranthambore National Park.

Prices start from £3,995 for a 14-night tour of southern or northern India including accommodation, meals, transports, sightseeing and guides.

“Unveiling the first itineraries from our new collection of Small Group Journeys is the proud culmination of months of work to bring APT’s exciting new travel style to market,” said Laura.

“Complementing the investment that our owners are making to elevate our river cruises, we’re delighted to reveal that touring is getting the same treatment. Almost a century ago, APT was founded on the quality of its guided holidays. For nine decades the brand has remained a global leader in touring by balancing product innovations with a consistent, gold-standard level of service.

“We continue this legacy with the launch of our Small Group Journeys, keeping APT’s touring product as fresh and appealing as it was 100 years ago.”
