Asia, Dubai and Disney early winners for dnata brands’ Peak bookings

Dnata Travel Group has reported its UK B2B brands have seen a positive start and some record stats following Sunshine Saturday.

The group – which includes Gold Medal, Pure Luxury, Cruise Plus and Incredible Journeys – said web bookings are up 40% compared to this time last year.

Overall, demand for Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam and Sri Lanka has increased year-on-year, with the number of room nights booked for Sri Lanka up 250%.

One of Gold Medal’s top destinations, Dubai, is seeing a 25% increase on last year. Disney holidays are also strong, with demand up by 35% in terms of room nights booked, compared to the previous year.

Dnata Travel Group UK B2B Managing Director Simon Applebaum said: “Our brands have seen a strong start to Peaks, following the launch of four brand-specific campaigns.

“Our sales team are coping well with the demand we are seeing, but it is also apparent that agents are utilising our website to make bookings too. Our web sales are +40% year on year, which is really promising to see, following the enhancements we made last year to our online functionality.”
