Women’s rights and gender equality campaigner Eleanor Mills will be the guest speaker at the Association of Women Travel Executives (AWTE) Fortnum & Mason afternoon tea.

Eleanor (pictured above) is an award-winning editor, writer, and broadcaster who worked for The Sunday Times for 23 years as Editorial Director, Editor of The Sunday Times Magazine, and as a columnist and interviewer.

After leaving the Sunday Times, in 2021, Eleanor launched Noon, an online media platform and community for middle-aged women.

AWTE Chair Lindsay Garvey Jones said: “I am thrilled that Eleanor has agreed to join us as to speak at this exclusive event.

“She is a real inspiration, and we are excited to hear what advice she has for us all, as none of us are getting any younger.”

Debbie O’Neill, MD of Jules Verne, which is sponsoring the event, said: “Eleanor is such an inspiration to women of all ages, with her recent championing of The Queenager, ensuring that midlife is no longer seen as negative, with the menopause, changing lifestyles, or growing older in general.

“Eleanor’s approach is reminding women why moving into your 40s and 50s is a privilege and she explores this life stage in a more positive light.”

This event is taking place on 20 September from 2pm to 5pm.
