British Airways is changing the minimum connection time (MCT) on many flights at Heathrow Terminal 5.

BA currently recommends a minimum connection time of 60 minutes within the same Heathrow terminal and 90 minutes for connections that require travel between terminals at Heathrow.

However, from January next year, BA is increasing the MCT between some flights at T5 from 60 minutes to 75 minutes to provide customers with more time when connecting.

The new minimum connection times apply to customers connecting from a long-haul flight to another long-haul, short-haul or domestic flight and customers connecting from a domestic to a short-haul or long-haul flight.

BA told Travel Gossip it has contacted customers affected by the changes and is notifying agents.
