Barrhead Travel has officially launched its new-look uniforms across its UK-wide retail network.

The new style, which was unveiled at Barrhead’s annual conference in Palma in October last year, has now landed in all stores for customer-facing roles.

There are 25 separate pieces in the collection, which is designed to be mixed and matched for individual looks.

Travel consultants can dress up with smart suits, court shoes, and dresses or dress down with options of relaxed trousers, t-shirts, skirts, and trainers.

Agents can wear what they feel most comfortable with, according to their own style and personality.

Sales and Marketing Director Nicki Tempest-Mitchell said: “When we emerged from the pandemic, it felt like a new era for travel agencies. Investing in a more modern design for our customer-facing uniform made sense – and it also ties in with our commitment to continuing to invest in modernising our high street spaces which is an ongoing project.

“What is most important to us is how our people feel at work. We listened to feedback last year that a new uniform was something our agents were keen to see so we appointed a focus group to take ideas and inspiration from as many of our agents as possible.

“We discovered that, with such a diverse range of people in our teams, a ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach just wouldn’t work. Some people told us they love dressing up in a suit dress and heels while others said they longed for something more casual.

“It therefore made sense to create a uniform collection with a whole range of different styles. With 25 separates to choose from, we want our people to have the freedom to choose to wear what makes them feel good.”

Head of Sales for England Catherine Finlan said: “What we wear reflects our brand and our teams – and our new style is modern, vibrant, diverse, and friendly.”
