Strike action by over 150 Birmingham airport security officers and terminal technicians has been cancelled after they accepted an improved pay deal.
Unite union members were originally due to strike indefinitely from 18 July, but delayed industrial action while they voted on a new pay offer, which they have now accepted.
In addition to a 13.25% one-year pay offer, the agreement will also see two new Unite workplace reps and a wider collective bargaining agreement put in place.
A Birmingham Airport spokesman said: “We are pleased colleagues have voted to accept the company’s pay offer. This means we can now focus fully on serving our customers.”
