Brand USA, the destination marketing organisation for the US, has teamed up with Trailfinders to showcase the country’s vast landscapes at a major event next month.

The pair will present an America’s Wild garden at the RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival from 4-9 July, inspiring UK travellers to further explore the US’ great outdoors.

The America’s Wild garden features contrasting desert, forest and prairie landscapes, illustrating the sheer diversity from the dusty Californian desert to the fiery Aspens of the Colorado forest and wildflower prairies of North Carolina’s sweeping plains.

The show garden gives Trailfinders and Brand USA the opportunity to inspire budding travellers with new motivators to seek out the US for their next holiday adventure.

Oregon and Charleston will both exhibit show gardens alongside America’s Wild, while Austin musicians Natalie Price and Jo James will be performing on the RHS Festival Stage, bringing the sounds of Texas to the UK, together offering a strong US presence at this year’s garden festival.

Brand USA CEO Chris Thompson said: “Our partnership with Trailfinders is a brilliant opportunity to showcase the wealth and breadth of destinations across the United States from mountains to coasts and forests to prairies – all waiting to be explored.

“This partnership marries our spectacular landscapes with bookable outdoor itineraries that take adventurers on a trip of a lifetime.”

Trailfinders Founder and Executive Chairman Sir Michael Gooley CBE said: “Given the breadth of natural beauty and holiday experiences to be had, it’s no surprise that the USA remains Trailfinders’ number-one selling destination.

“Our America’s Wild garden, in partnership with Brand USA, will highlight the stunning diversity of this great country from East to West, whetting your appetite to book your next visit.”

Following the RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival, the America’s Wild show garden will be relocated to the US Embassy in London and the American Museum & Gardens in Bath.

The trees of the ‘forest’ will be transplanted to create a new Aspen grove on the hillside at the American Museum & Gardens, and the desert and prairie planting will be housed in both existing collections.

This relocation will provide opportunities for both the general public at the American Museum & Gardens and visiting dignitaries at the Embassy to take inspiration from the landscapes of the US for years to come.

Trailfinders offers a number of tours that take in the US great outdoors, including A Southern Sojourn, that includes America’s southern landscapes, from the marshes of South Carolina through northern Florida’s forests, and Louisiana’s sparkling coastlines, including Charleston’s cobblestone streets, swimming with sea turtles in Georgia’s Jekyll Island, and kayaking among the Apalachicola National Forest.

Another option is Texan Trails, which puts the puts the Lone Star State in the spotlight, taking in prairies, ranches, Houston’s Galveston Island, stargazing at Enchanted Rock, and a horseback trail ride through Wildcatter Ranch.
