The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has updated its website with detailed advice for thousands of customers of Luxtripper, which ceased trading as an ATOL holder last week.
Travel Gossip understands that the tailormade specialist had 198 package holiday customers overseas at the time its business ceased.
There are believed to be a further 2,037 customers due to travel on package holidays with Luxtripper, which has put a message on its website saying it’s hoping to find a buyer.
There is also an unspecified number of customers who booked accommodation-only through Luxtripper, which will not be protected by the company’s ATOL.
Luxtripper also sold holidays for other ATOL holders. The CAA is advising those customers to contact the ATOL holder mentioned on their receipt.
For those who booked ATOL-protected Luxtripper packages, the CAA has issued detailed advice, depending on whether they are currently abroad or due to travel.

Luxtripper has engaged restructuring specialists Resolve Advisory to find a buyer for the business via an accelerated merger and acquisition process.
“This process will be completed within the coming days, where a buyer will hopefully be found to ensure continuation of the business,” it said in a message on its website.
Luxtripper had four directors when it ceased trading as an ATOL holder; Nena Chaletzos, Richard Chaletzos, Balwinder Bhattha and Roger Flynn.
