Carnival Cruise Line will operate a series of ex-UK cruises from Dover in 2026, including its first solar eclipse sailing.

The cruise line will offer nine ex-UK cruises on Carnival Legend between June and October 2026, sailing a mix of Northern Europe, Scandinavian and Baltic itineraries.

The ship has just completed its 2024 season in Dover. Next summer, Carnival Miracle will offer ex-UK cruises before Carnival Legend returns in 2026.

The 11-day solar eclipse sailing will depart Dover on 9 August 2026, calling at ports in France, Guernsey, Spain, Portugal and Belgium. The solar eclipse will take place on 12 August, when the ship is at sea. Prices for the cruise start from £1,120 per person.

Carnival Legend will also offer nine and 12-day cruises from Civitavecchia (Rome) to Turkey, Greece, Italy and Croatia. The ship’s final cruise from Europe in 2026 will be a 14-day voyage on 1 November from Rome to Tampa, Florida.

Carnival Cruise Line President Christine Duffy said: “The chance to see a total solar eclipse while having fun exploring the cultural richness of Spain, Portugal and France aboard Carnival Legend is a truly special opportunity – among a lineup of many phenomenal cruises. And as the popularity of Carnival Legend’s 2024 Europe sailings prove, it’s never too soon for our loyal guests to start planning their next summer vacation.”
