Flights to and from Kenya’s main international airport have been severely disrupted due to a strike by workers.
Several flights have been cancelled, including British Airways’ flights on Wednesday between Nairobi and London. Some other services have been badly delayed.
Earlier today, a scuffle broke out at Jomo Kenyatta International airport between police and workers, who were protesting against plans for an Indian company to lease it.
In an update to its travel advice, the Foreign Office said: “There is disruption at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, due to ongoing strike action, that is affecting flights and access to and from the airport.
“Passengers are advised to check with their airline for flight information.”
