We are seeking an ambitious Chief Operating Officer to join an established and dynamic travel company, hybrid working model in the Hampshire area.

With significant growth plans over the next few years, the new Chief Operating Officer will be responsible for ensuring efficient and effective processes, optimising performance, and driving continuous improvement. You will be the Founder/CEO’s right-hand person, responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the company to ensure all business objectives are met.



Chief Operating Officer – Essential Requirements:

  • You will have a proven track record of leading teams and taking responsibility for a significant and related function within the travel industry.
  • As an accomplished senior leader, you will combine your experience of people management, strategic planning, operational effectiveness and project management with excellent communication and collaborative working.
  • Capable of developing new ideas and finding creative solutions to operational challenges.
  • Strong management and leadership skills with a proven record in people development.
  • Proven experience of H&S management/understanding.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Experience of working with international teams with the ability to navigate diverse cultures and ways of working is highly desirable.



Chief Operating Officer – Duties:

  • Working closely with the CEO to shape, and successfully implement, the company’s strategic plans.
  • Oversee the development and execution of company-wide day-to-day operations.
  • Line manage and support department managers to successfully uphold their individual, and joint, responsibilities to the highest standards.
  • Work with senior staff in our clients destinations to ensure operational compliance.
  • Oversee departmental and staff budgets to ensure that the company remains within agreed financial parameters to help maintain the financial health of the company.
  • Support all direct reports in shaping and achieving their personal development objectives, enabling and fostering progression across the company.
  • Foster a culture of operational excellence, continuous improvement, and innovation.
  • Contribute to the development of the company’s long-term strategy by putting forward new ideas for company growth, efficiencies and opportunities.
  • Support the HR team to develop and maintain high quality recruitment processes, staff wellbeing programmes and staff development programmes.
