Colletts Travel says there has been a ‘notable shift’ in preferences for 2024, including growing interest in destinations such as Mexico, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore, sparked by ‘favourable rates’.

It is also seeing more interest in once-in-a-lifetime holidays to destinations such as Japan and South Africa.

Jennifer Hartnett, Head of Tour Operations and Contracting at Colletts Collection, Colletts Travel’s in-house luxury tour operator, said: “We are seeing a trend of clients booking multiple trips at once, with a longer booking window extending into 2025.

“Many are keen to avail of early booking offers and secure their seasonal travel. We are now seeing more stability in booking trends, resembling traditional leisure patterns, which have been fluctuating over the past few years.”

Jennifer said the average length of trips has increased, along with demand for luxury all-inclusive packages. “We have noticed increased demand for private air travel, yacht sailings, and personal butler concierge services,” she added.

She said Colletts Travel has taken a ‘responsive approach’ to demand for experiential and bucket list trips, by curating itineraries around major sporting events and providing access to unique experiences. “Some of our advisors have been creating bespoke trips for the Grand Prix, and various trips around Italy, with a focus on set-jetting,” she added.

Colletts Travel’s flagship store in Hendon is due to reopen this month following a refurbishment.
