Leger Shearings Group has relaunched the craft holiday specialist Stitchtopia, one of the brands it acquired when it bought the assets of Arena Travel, which went into administration in 2022.

Stitchtopia offers small group craft holidays, with a maximum of 18 guests, designed and led by crafting experts, including Hazel Tindall, the world’s fastest knitter.

All holidays are commissionable to agents and include workshops in knitting, crochet, patchwork and quilting, embroidery, and textiles. Tours range from a beginners’ crochet weekend in the UK, to a 14-day Textile Sensations of South Korea itinerary accompanied by award-winning textile artist Janice Gunner.

Accommodation is in mostly four-star hotels, in central locations, with wellness facilities. There are also breaks combining crafting with wellness activities, such as yoga and Pilates.

To coincide with the programme, there is a newly launched Stitchopia website and the brochure is available to view online.

Leger Shearings Group has also brought back the Stitchtopia Festival, an annual weekend residential event for all keen crafters, which this year takes place between 8-10 March in Northamptonshire.

Priced from £499 per person, the three-day Festival includes full-board accommodation at the Staverton Park Hotel & Golf Club, which features an indoor swimming pool and gym, and four half-day workshops with craft experts, plus evening talks and entertainment.

Leger Shearings Group Head of Retail Sales Ashley Dellow said: “Stitchtopia is the UK’s number-one tour operator for craft holidays and, like all Leger Holidays and Shearings tours, they’re fully escorted with a tour manager, from start to finish.

“The holidays offer the chance to join a small group of like-minded others, take part in fantastic projects and workshops, share new experiences, and learn techniques from the very best.

“Crafting has had a huge upsurge in popularity, and even celebrities like Ryan Gosling, Sarah Jessica Parker and Tom Daly are knitting fans. Pro-active travel agents would do well to raise awareness of Stitchtopia’s tours with local craft groups.”
