Cruise industry veteran Simone Clark is leaving Iglu.com after 19 years with the OTA.

Senior Vice President of Global Supply Simone confirmed she would leave the cruise and ski specialist this summer, adding her exit had ‘been planned for a while’.

She said: “I love Iglu, but I want to spend less time travelling and some more time at home.

“I intend to enjoy a few months off and then will definitely make a return to the industry in some capacity.”

Simone (pictured) said had already stepped back to ‘a less operational role’.

She thanked her colleagues at Iglu and Planet Cruise, cruise line partners, and ‘everyone in the cruise industry for making the journey so much fun over the years’.

Iglu CEO David Gooch called Simone ‘an incredible asset’ to the business and highlighted her contribution to launching Iglu Cruise and growing it to become ‘Europe’s leading cruise OTA’.

He added: “She is widely recognised as one of the most influential figures in the industry, and she will be sorely missed around the business. We wish her well in her future endeavours.”
