Scenic has reported an increase in bookings for its Antarctica itineraries following last Friday’s episode of Cruising with Susan Calman.
In the first of a two-parter in the Channel 5 series, Susan sailed the Antarctic peninsula on discovery yacht Scenic Eclipse. She sailed from Ushuaia on Scenic’s most popular expedition voyage, travelling through the Drake Passage before reaching the polar south.
Scenic said the first episode led to a surge in website traffic and enquiries resulting in bookings to the region more than doubling compared to the previous weekend.
Monday 12 February was Scenic’s top performing day of 2024 so far, both in terms of overall bookings and bookings to the Antarctica region, the majority of which were confirmed via trade partners.
The second episode will be shown tomorrow night (Friday 19 February).
Scenic’s ‘Sell Three, Sail Free’ incentive is running until 29 February. In addition, Scenic is giving away triple River Rewards & More points worth £60 for every Antarctica booking made this month.
