CV Villas has partnered with flight-free travel platform Byway to offer travellers European itineraries without air travel.

The villa specialist’s customers now have the option to book pre-built itineraries with Byway using the train, ferry and bus to visit destinations including Portugal, Corfu, the French Riviera, Morocco and the Italian regions of Sicily, Tuscany, Puglia, Amalfi Coast and Umbria.

The holidays include pre-built trips, which select hotels close to train stations or those with sustainable credentials, and can be customised to suit budgets and durations.

CV Villas Managing Director Pete Brudenell said: “We understand that travellers are now factoring in their carbon footprint when travelling on holiday and this new partnership with Byway allows us to offer a solution to conscious travellers. Travelling by train is one of the most environmentally friendly modes of transport and by choosing to travel by train, you are going a long way to reducing your carbon footprint.”

A 16-night trip to Umbria via train starts from £1,775 per person and includes stops in Basel, Milan, Florence, Rome, Munich and Paris as well a seven-night villa holiday.
