Discover Egypt has added a five-star Nile cruise option in its newly launched Egypt & Jordan 2024/25 brochure.

The brochure features two seven-night Nile cruise options, including sailing on the new deluxe five-star Alexander the Great, with prices starting at £1,839.

The Egypt programme also includes a deluxe five-day Lake Nasser cruise, taking in Upper Egypt and Abu Simbel. Holidays and city stays in Cairo, Aswan and Luxor, are also featured, including the iconic Marriott Mena House in Cairo overlooking the Pyramids; the historic Sofitel Old Winter Palace in Luxor and the Sofitel Legend Old Cataract Hotel in Aswan that has welcomed guests including Sir Winston Churchill and Dame Agatha Christie since it opened in 1899.

A range of excursions are available that can be pre-booked in each city, including a full-day ‘Pyramids, Sphinx and Sakkara’ tour in Cairo; and a half-day ‘West Bank’ tour to see the Valley of the Kings in Luxor.

The programme also includes the Red Sea Riviera resorts of Hurghada, Marsa Alam, Makadi Bay and Soma Bay.

A seven-day private escorted ‘Classic Jordan’ tour that visits the ruined city of Petra, Wadi Rum and the Dead Sea, and includes a stay in the Jordanian capital Amman; and there is a 16-day ‘Spectacular Egypt and Jordan’ tour that includes a seven-night Nile cruise, giving travellers the opportunity to see the highlights of both countries in one holiday.

Commercial Director Philip Breckner said: “We’re excited to launch our new brochure which features a comprehensive choice of great value holidays to Egypt and Jordan to suit most tastes and budgets. From city stays to beach resorts, Nile cruises to escorted tours all our itineraries are flexible and can be tailored to individual requirements.”
