Be introduced to two new thrilling rides at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay and become familiar with the many attractions this world-famous theme park has to offer, in addition to the Florida Aquarium and ZooTampa at Lowry Park.

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay

Experience thrilling rides and roller coasters, up-close animal encounters, safari adventures and more at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay.

Visitors will be among the first to experience the rush of an unforgettable flight with Phoenix Rising, which opens in spring 2024, taking thrill-seekers on an exciting ride. Inspired by legend, this suspended roller coaster in vibrant Pantopia is packed with surprises and speeds up to 44 miles per hour.

Close by is the Serengeti Flyer (pictured), the world’s tallest and fastest ride of its kind. Soar higher and higher above the park’s expansive 65-acre Serengeti Plain while experiencing multiple negative-G moments.

Iron Gwazi, meanwhile, is the tallest, steepest, fastest rollercoaster in the US, taking thrills to new heights, plunging riders from a 206-foot-tall peak into a 91-degree drop and reaching top speeds of 76 miles per hour.

Adventure Island

Close to Busch Gardens is Adventure Island waterpark, with water slides, splash areas, pools, lazy rivers and plenty of kid-friendly adventure to keep youngsters entertained for hours on end.

Shaka-Laka Shores is an all-new splash and play zone with interactive elements to engage and entertain the park’s youngest guests.

Popular water slides include the four-land RipTide, where guests can race each other; the open-flume ride Calypso Coaster, which holds up to two passengers and the epic free-fall experience at Vanish Point.

The surf’s always up at Endless Surf, the 17,000 square foot wave pool, which is just one of four pool attractions. Brave thrill-seekers can splash from cliff jumps into 9,000 square-feet of tropical blue water at Paradise Lagoon.

ZooTampa

ZooTampa offers unforgettable adventures for all ages. Enjoy an amazing, lush tropical setting with naturalistic habitats that provide up-close connections with animals from around the world.

The Zoo originated in the 1930s as a municipal department with a small number of Florida native species.

It now encompasses 56 acres of naturalistic animal exhibits in a lush, tropical garden setting. The Zoo offers popular educational programming, fun recreational amenities, up-close animal encounters and engaging seasonal events for which it has won accolades as one of the country’s most family-friendly zoos.

Random animal encounters, behind-the-scene tours, and other special personalised experiences expand the zoo’s opportunities to provide unforgettable natural connections.

It’s home to a manatee rehabilitation centre. Find out about ZooTampa’s conservation practices here and click here to see a video.

The Florida Aquarium

Visitors to The Florida Aquarium can discover a free-flying bird aviary with a lush mangrove tunnel, native fish, river otters, and alligators in the Wetlands of Florida habitat; while the 500,000-gallon panoramic Coral Reef Gallery is home to impressive sharks, stingrays, sea turtles, barracudas, and more.

The MORPH’D exhibit features animals that have adapted to survive, including electric eels, axolotls, bird poop frogs and four-eyed fish. Go underwater with SeaTREK, the helmet diving experience, and set sail in Tampa Bay on the Wild Dolphin Cruise.

An outdoor plaza boasts a splash pad children’s play area, The Cove bar, and Penguin Pavilion and there are opportunities to learn from aquarium staff during interactive experiences.
