Disney Cruise Line has revealed the first details of its next ship, Disney Destiny, which is due to join the fleet in 2025.
At the ship’s keel laying ceremony at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany, the cruise line revealed Disney Destiny’s design theme will be ‘Heroes and Villains’.
The design will draw on the legacy of Disney stories, characters and theme park attractions and enable guests to encounter heroes and villains alike within the ship’s spaces, experiences and entertainment.
Disney Cruise Line Senior Vice President and General Manager Sharon Siskie said: “The Disney Destiny will celebrate our most legendary Disney stories and characters, bringing them to life in new and exciting ways exclusively for Disney Cruise Line guests.”
In addition to the launch of Disney Destiny, next year the cruise line will open a new island destination in The Bahamas, Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.
