EasyJet is to operate a new winter route to Kittila in Finnish Lapland this winter from Manchester.
Flights take off from 16 November and will operate twice a week throughout the winter season.
Kittila is located 150km north of Roveniemi in the northern arctic circle and will also appeal to winter sports lovers, stargazers looking for a glimpse of the Northern lights and those who wish to explore the snowy alpine forests in the region.
The service will operate every Thursday and Sunday.
Manchester Airport Aviation Director Robert Smith said: “We know a family trip to Lapland is on many of our passengers’ Christmas lists so it’s fantastic to see easyJet launching a service from Manchester to Kittila this winter.”
