Finnair will add more flights from Manchester and Edinburgh to Helsinki in October 2024.
The new services are part of an expansion of the airline’s network, which includes more flights to Japan, Iceland, Ireland and the Canary islands.
Finnair said its flights from the UK have been ‘specifically’ timed to connect with its expanding European and Asia network at Helsinki, with transfers taking around 35 minutes.
From October 2024 it will offer a double-daily service from Manchester to Helsinki, up from nine flights a week this winter, and six flights a week from Edinburgh, up from four.
The flights will be in addition to 29 weekly flights from London Heathrow.
