The Unite union has cancelled the first two days of industrial action at Heathrow later this month while its members consider a new pay offer.
Members have been offered a 10% pay rise, backdated to 1 January, rising to 11.5% from October and a guaranteed inflation-linked pay rise for 2024.
The new deal is being put to a ballot starting tomorrow (Tuesday 13 June) until 23 June.
While the ballot is taking place, Unite has cancelled planned strikes on 24 and 25 June.
Last week, Unite announced 31 strike days during the summer at Heathrow.
A spokesperson for Heathrow said: “We are pleased to have agreed a pay deal which unions are recommending their members to accept.
“This a great deal for colleagues, giving them two years of guaranteed above inflation pay rises, alongside further benefits and assurances that they told us they wanted.
“We encourage them to accept the deal so that everyone can have certainty and the backdated pay increase that so many have been waiting for.
“While a ballot takes place, the first weekend of strikes has been cancelled.”
