Fred Holidays launches cruise-and-train trip in South America

Fred Holidays has released a new cruise-and-train itinerary featuring an AmaWaterways sailing on the Magdalena river in Colombia.

The 16-night Colombia By River & Machu Picchu Rail & Sail trip starts with an overnight stay in Cartagena followed by a seven-night cruise on the new AmaMagdalena ship.

Passengers will then disembark in Barranquilla, fly to Lima and spend two nights at the Belmond hotel.

After a short flight to Cusco, passengers will then spend another two nights at another Belmond hotel before boarding the Hiram Bingham train from Rio Sagrado station to Machu Picchu.

Fred Holidays is offering two departures on 20 June and 4 July next year, with prices starting from £12,999 per person.

Price includes return flights from London, overseas transfers, hotel accommodation, cruise, guided tour of Lima and internal flights.
