Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines has announced it will head back to Australia for the first time since 2020, as part of its 2024 world cruise.
Head of Itinerary Planning and Destination Experience Martin Lister said the company was ‘absolutely thrilled’ to be returning to Australia as part of the 101-night voyage on Borealis.
The cruise includes three days on Florida’s coast, visits to the rainforests of Costa Rica, a chance to see volcanoes in Hawaii, as well sailing to the islands of French Polynesia.
Guests will also head to New Zealand as well as Australia and visit natural wonders such as Uluru. Highlights on the Asian leg of the cruise include rarely-visited Alotau in Papua New Guinea, Bali and Komodo island.
Martin added: “Together with our trusted partners, we have planned some incredible once-in-a-lifetime experiences to enable guests to truly immerse themselves in the destination they are visiting. These include seeing Uluru at sunrise in Australia, discovering more about village life in Papua New Guinea on a shore tour to see local women demonstrate the age-old technique of clay pot making and spending time with a Dabbawala in Mumbai delivering tiffin lunch boxes.”
Borealis’ 101-night World Cruise will depart from Southampton on 7 January 2024, and prices start from £9,999 per person.
