EU Business Development Director Duties:
- Manage a team of Business Development Managers, collaborate with our clients global bid writers and indirectly control the EU marketing budget/resource.
- Develop and implement an annual business development programme in line with the business plans.
- Lead customer relationship development as well as effective management from our clients target audience to maximise new business wins.
- Develop and maintain a clear and growing opportunity pipeline and performance manage the Business Development team to maximise conversion across each stage of the sales process
- Growing opportunity pipeline value needs to be accompanied by rigorous opportunity qualification, the development of attractive customer offers and persuasive selling to maximise win rates
- Ensure from bid win timely contract signatures and support timely customer implementation of new contract wins so that revenue conversion is realised as budgeted or earlier.
- Ensure alignment with global sales processes and Salesforce.com utilisation by all team members.
Essential Requirements:
- Degree level education, MBA or similar qualification preferred
- Fluent in speaking/writing French & English
- Proven track record in B2B sales and team management within the travel industry
- Minimum 5 years in a B2B “hunter” role
- Strong leadership and team motivation abilities
- Proficiency in sales management and Salesforce
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
