Havila Voyages has taken delivery of its ships Havila Polaris and Havila Pollux after months of delay because of financing.
CEO Bent Martini (pictured raising the company’s flag) described the event as a ‘milestone’ and thanked the Norwegian authorities, customers, coastal communities, partners and employees for their patience.
The delays were caused because the Russian-owned parent of Havila’s original financier was sanctioned by the European Union last year.
The ships join Havila Capella and Havila Castor in the fleet and will sail the Norwegian coast when they leave Tersan shipyard in Turkey later this month.
