Hays Travel branch managers and head office colleagues have flown to Antalya in Turkey for the company’s annual overseas retail conference on four specially chartered aircraft.
Chair and owner Dame Irene Hays joined staff on one of the flights, from Newcastle, on Monday. The others, all chartered by Jet2holidays, were from Manchester, Birmingham and Bristol.
The conference will take place from 11-15 November, followed by a conference for Hays Independence Group and its homeworkers.
Dame Irene said: “Our overseas conference is a highlight of the year – it’s when we can connect with our branch managers from across the UK all under one roof, to thank them for their excellent work caring for our customers, and to help everyone to prepare for January, when so many of our customers plan their summer 2025 holiday.
“I am very grateful to Jet2holidays for their amazing support, and to the whole team at Newcastle International Airport – as well as Birmingham, Bristol, and Manchester International airports – for being so welcoming and accommodating.”
Alan Cross, Jet2holidays Director of Travel Agent Relationships said: “We are delighted to help our partner, Hays Travel Group, get their conference off to the best of starts by providing flights with our award-winning airline, Jet2.com.”
The retail conference, being held at the Ela Excellence Resort in Belek, will be attended by more than 700 delegates.
