Hays Travel has signed an exclusive partnership with Barmy Army Travel, the company providing tickets and travel for fans of the England cricket team.
Through the partnership, Barmy Army members will be able to go into any of Hays Travel’s 450 UK branches and book their England cricket ticket and travel package.
In a statement Hays said: “As the exclusive bespoke travel partner, Hays Travel will arrange uniquely curated flight and hotel packages, giving Barmy Army supporters an extra layer of personalisation to their trips.”
The partnership was announced on the final day of the first Ashes Test, at Edgbaston, in which Australia narrowly beat England.
Newly appointed Commercial Assistant Katharine Dunwoodie said: “Brokering the exclusive partnership with the Barmy Army has been a great experience – the partnership is an excellent fit for our two businesses and I’m sure customers will really benefit from the ease and confidence of booking their tickets and travel to support English cricket in one go.”
Chief Operating Officer Jonathon Woodall-Johnston said the deal was ‘a perfect match’.
Barmy Army Travel Manager Charlie Garratt said: “For over 25 years, we have offered ticket-only options right up to fully inclusive travel packages.
“Hays Travel is the perfect partner for us to further widen our offering and ensure we can provide for those who are looking for a more tailored option.”
Barmy Army Travel launched its own in-house tour operator last October, which is still operating.
