Hays Travel is preparing to host what it expects to be the largest overseas travel trade conference this year.
More than 1,100 delegates are expected to attend the Hays overseas conference, being held at the Ela Excellence Resort Belek in Turkey later this month.
The event will be split into two parts, with 700 branch managers and employees attending the retail conference from 11 to 15 November, and 450 members of Hays Travel Independence Group and its homeworkers attending from 15 to 18 November.
Joining for the first time will be staff from Miles Morgan Travel and Travel House, both of which have been recently acquired by Hays.
The conference theme will be ‘In it for the Long Haul’, and the schedule will include guest speakers, panel discussions, supplier showcases and networking events.
Chair Dame Irene Hays said: “Our annual overseas conference is the highlight of the year, where we connect with colleagues and members across our group in preparation for January’s peak sales period.
“It’s an opportunity to spend quality time engaging with our brilliant retail team, Independence Group, and Homeworker members – all of whom are doing exceptional work to care for customers’ travel needs.”
Suppliers supporting the conference are Attraction World, Jet2holidays, Mastercard, Princess, Silversea, Universal Parks and Resorts and Holiday Extras.
