Blue Lagoon Iceland will remain closed until at least 27 December, following volcanic eruption nearby on Monday.
After that date, the situation will be reassessed, Blue Lagoon said.
The Blue Lagoon reopened on Monday after closing last month because of earthquakes on the Reykjanes peninsula.
However, after volcanic eruption in Sundhnúkagígar on the peninsula began at around 9pm on Monday, the famous spa has closed again.
In a statement, Blue Lagoon said: “The eruption does not pose an immediate threat to people, and it has not impacted Blue Lagoon Iceland’s infrastructure.”
Currently, flights at Keflavík International Airport, and traffic on Reykjanesbraut are operating as normal.
More information on Blue Lagoon’s closure is available here.
