Homeworking agency InteleTravel is forecasting UK and Ireland sales for the 2024 calendar year will reach £143 million – up 70% on 2023.

It has already surpassed last year’s UK & Ireland sales of £85m, with £95m in sales achieved by the end of August 2024.

The UK is outperforming InteleTravel’s main market, the US, which is projected to have a growth of 36% in the calendar year 2024.

Cruising currently makes up 17% of sales in the UK and Ireland after InteleTravel launched a ‘deliberate strategy to increase turnover in this market’.

President and founder James Ferrara said: “We clearly have touched a. nerve in the UK and Ireland. There is something that resonates with our model.

“Training in conjunction with the partners and our technology is making the difference for us. We have had a real focus on cruising in the UK, it brings a high percentage of repeat passengers. Cruising is so important in the US and we knew there was a huge opportunity in the UK when we came to this market.”

Virgin Voyages recently named InteleTravel as its Homeworking Agency of the Year. The cruise line’s Sales Manager Jack Atherton said: “InteleTravel has shown consistent growth not only in their sales delivery but in the breadth of individuals within their membership who have successfully made VV bookings in the past year. We are thrilled to have them onboard as one of our trusted First Mates.”

James will reveal more details about the growth in sales in his keynote speech at the InteleTravel Quest (ITQ) conference in Sorrento tomorrow (Friday).
