Travellers could face flight delays and cancellations due to airport worker strikes across Italy’s major airports on Monday (8 January).
A 24-hour strike action by baggage handlers is expected at Milan Linate and Milan Malpensa from midnight on Monday, while security workers will also be striking at Rome, Treviso and Venice, and ground staff at Florence will be walking out.
Under Italian law, a minimum level of essential services must be maintained, so some flights will continue to operate.
