Jet2 has increased capacity from Manchester Airport to give football fans more options when travelling for European matches.

The airline has added flights to give Manchester City, Manchester United and Liverpool supporters more choice when travelling for Champions League and Europa League matches this season.

The airline has added a flight from Manchester Airport to Vienna on 30 September, so Manchester City fans can travel to Bratislava ahead of the match with Slovan Bratislava on 1 October.

It has also added a flight from Manchester Airport to Barcelona on 9 December (and return on 11 December) giving Liverpool supporters access to Girona for the game on 10 December.

Manchester United play Porto on 3 October and supporters can now book a flight with Jet2 to the Portuguese city the day before.

Finally, the airline has put on a flight from Manchester to Prague on 11 December for when Manchester United play FC Viktoria Plen on 12 December.

A spokesperson for Jet2 said: “There has been a lot of demand for more flights to and from these big European fixtures, so we have acted quickly to give fans even more choice. We know this announcement will be incredibly popular news with followers of all three sides, and we expect the flights to sell incredibly quickly.”
