Jet2 has begun trialling cash-free sales onboard its flights.
The airline has emailed customers who are part of the trial to let them know cabin crew will only accept card and contactless payments for onboard purchases.
The email says: “This means that we’ll only be accepting We accept Apply Pay and Google Pay, but recommend you bring a physical bank card with you too.
“As always, our aim is to provide the best service possible and we believe that going cashless onboard will improve the efficiency of our service.”
The trial starts today (1 March) on Manchester flights.
A Jet2 spokesperson told Travel Gossip: “We are always looking at ways at improving and enhancing our award-winning onboard experience and we are running this trial with that in mind.”
