Jet2 has warned that some of its flights are being delayed today due to bad weather in many parts of Eastern Europe.

In a message to passengers posted on its website, Jet2 said it was experience ‘some air traffic control slot delays’.

It said this was affecting flights that are due to arrive, depart or fly across the Eastern Mediterranean.

Jet2 added: “Our UK-based operations team is working hard to minimise disruption to our flying programme, however you may experience some disruption if you are travelling to/from areas affected.”

However, the airline said all flights are still operating and, where possible, passengers will be boarded as close to ‘on time’ as possible to be ready to depart as soon as they get the go ahead from ATC.

“We apologise in advance if this causes an extended wait on board before you depart,” it said.
