Jet2 is warning that bad weather could impact its flights to and from a number of regional airports on Wednesday.

It said the Met Office is warning of high winds in Belfast, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Newcastle.

“Our operations team continue to monitor the UK forecast to ensure we have the most up to date information for all Jet2.com departing and arriving customers for 31 January 2024 from 05:00 until 19:00,” said the airline.

While it is still planning to operate its flights as close to schedule as possible, Jet2 said there might be some disruption should the weather deteriorate.

In its yellow weather warning for the north, the Met Office said that there is a ‘small’ chance of longer journey times or cancellations as road, air and ferry services are affected.

“We will, where possible, board all flights for an on-time departure, however, please be prepared for a longer than normal wait either in the terminal or onboard the aircraft to depart,” added Jet2 in a message to passengers on its website.
