Jet2 will operate flights from Birmingham and Manchester to Salerno on the Amalfi coast next summer.

The airline will offer a Monday service from each airport, from 26 May to 29 September 2025, and Jet2holidays has put on sale a range of packages, using the new weekly flights.

Holidays are available to Amalfi, Positano, Ravello and Vietri sul Mare, as well as to the ancient port city of Salerno, a new resort for Jet2holidays.

Jet2’s move follows the launch in July of flights to Salerno by easyJet, which was the first UK airline to fly into the former military base.

EasyJet also offers a range of packages to the Amalfi coast, based on its twice-weekly service from London Gatwick, but Jet2 will be the only airline to fly to Salerno from Birmingham and Manchester.

Jet2 CEO Steve Heapy said he was ‘delighted to be adding this brand-new gateway’, which will be the ninth Italian airport for the airline.

He added: “The Amalfi Coast is one of the most iconic destinations across the world, so we are very confident that these new flights and holidays will be a big hit with holidaymakers wanting to explore the pastel-painted villages and cliffs that the destination is famous for.”
