Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have announced plans to support the National Apprenticeship Week 2024.
Taking place from 5-11 February, the annual event brings together businesses and apprentices across the country to raise awareness of apprenticeships.
Jet2.com and Jet2holidays will be showing their support with a week-long series of activities, including attending the Leeds Apprenticeship Recruitment Fair, Tree Planting with their charity partner, Trees for Cities, a session on managing money delivered by Barclays Digital Eagles, and encouraging apprentices to return to their schools and colleges to deliver careers talks.
The theme for 2024 is ‘Skills for Life’, which aims to promote apprenticeship opportunities at all ages.
Last month Jet2holidays launched its Appoint an Apprentice scheme, with the company offering up to £5,000 towards the salary of each new apprentice hired by its independent agent partners across the UK.
In October, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays also recognised 33 apprentices graduating from their apprenticeship scheme, and they now have permanent positions with the business.
